anna chang, bS
swim coach specialist

Anna's extensive competitive swimming background and enthusiasm for coaching individuals to reach their personal goals is a key asset to SBR's swimming programs. She received her Bachelors from UW-Madison in Biology and Communication Arts and was on the University of Wisconsin swim team for four years.

Anna always loved the water since before she can remember and started swimming competitively at the age of 7. She grew up swimming year-round with various club teams in West Lafayette, IN and eventually started training as a middle schooler alongside the Purdue University swimmers during the summers as part of the Boilermaker Aquatics club team. She specialized in mid-distance and distance events of every stroke in high school and went on to swim all four years in the Big 10 Conference for the UW, focusing on the 200 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 400 m/500 yd freestyle.

Anna has the experience of coaching all different swimming levels as well as a variety of ages. While in Indiana, she taught private and group lessons and coached age groups ranging from 5-18 years old throughout the summers. In Madison, she has coached at the UW summer swim camps, coached in the All-City Swim & Dive League, and taught private swim lessons.

Her passion is to work alongside individuals to reach their goals and encourage them to thrive in this sport they've dedicated time towards. Additionally, she particularly enjoys working with swimmers, regardless of their swimming experience, in optimizing their technique in order to help them to reach their full potential.
