Bill Martin is the co-owner and head coach of SBR Endurance Performance Center.

Bill has been a life long athlete, starting to swim at the age of 11 and completing in both track and cross country in high school. His passion for sport led him to triathlon where he joined the UW Triathlon Team. Since that time Bill has completed over 100 triathlons at all distances including Ironman Wisconsin. His skill led him to receive multiple accolades to include 2-time honorable mention All American, 4-time All American, and a member of Team USA for three years. He earned his pro card in 2013.

Bill's passion for triathlon led him to earn a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is able to apply this knowledge with all of this athletes which is a key differentiator. Bill is also a USAT Level I and the Head Coach for the UW Triathlon Team.

Bill has experience working with athletes of all ages and backgrounds. His athletes include youth through age groupers, novices and advanced athletes. It is not uncommon for his athletes to see PR's beyond their initial year. 

Bill's education in exercise science combined with his expertise as a pro triathlete has allowed his athletes to achieve their own personal success:

  • Novice athletes have gone on to achieve their goals of completing their first sprint, Olympic and even Ironman distance races
  • Age Group athletes have qualified for Nationals, 70.3 Worlds, Kona and ITU Age Group Worlds
  • The UW Triathlon Team increased its placement at Nationals the last two years, moving up over 10 places
  • Bill has also coached a Junior National Team member and a pro card qualifying athlete
