Provide a little background info about yourself.
Eric: I live in McFarland with my wife Lori, and two dogs, Odin, and Dot.  Cycling is only one of my many hobbies.  Other hobbies include fishing, tackle making, shooting, hiking, custom leather work, woodworking, general handyman stuff, reading, and playing guitar.  Time for hobbies and family has become easier since retiring from law enforcement and the Wisconsin Air National Guard.

Lori: I live in McFarland with hubby Eric and two crazy terriers.  Fitness has always been a part of my life.  The early part of my athletic career was spent hitting millions of tennis balls in preparation for playing varsity tennis in both high school and college.  Running was next in an effort to stay in shape post- college followed by a return to competitive tennis and another shot at running.  Triathlon started in 2007 as a new and out of my comfort zone activity.  Learning to swim at 48 and then completing the Ironman swim is one of my proudest moments.  Other hobbies include yoga, weight lifting, walking, art, drawing, fishing, interior design, reading, and gardening. 

How long have you been affiliated with SBR?

Both: Since January 2008.
Why did you join SBR? Why have you stayed?
Both: We set up a consultation with Coach J in January of 2008 in preparation for Ironman Wisconsin that year.  Her expertise and training plan got us to the finish line happy and healthy.  PBC started for us in 2009 on Tuesday and Thursday AM.  The high level of personal attention, welcoming and supportive environment, and the expertise of the coaches.
What is your favorite class, service, or event with SBR?
Lori: PBC is both fun and challenging.  The coaching is highly personalized and we have gotten to know so many wonderful people.  I did an outstanding bike fit session with Jessica prior to getting my customized Alchemy.  The service from Jessica and Pete with Rocket Bikes was outstanding.

Eric: I have really enjoyed the coaches and classmates in PBC over the years.  I appreciate how each class has a purpose, and fits into a larger plan for increasing cycling fitness and efficiency.  The coaches are very supportive and a great resource, and work with us on form. I have very relaxed shoulders (ha!).  I received a bike fit from Jessica, which made it very easy to find the right road bike and set-up.
What sport do you primarily participate in?
Both: Cycling.
What is your favorite part about training with SBR?
Eric: I have really enjoyed the all of the coaches and classmates over the years. 
Lori: The coaches and all of our fellow PBC athletes.  We have so much fun and I have a whole new appreciation for different types of music!
What are your training and/or racing goals this year?
Lori: Getting back to some sort of fitness activity in the form of organized biking events.  Recovery from a broken hip due to a mountain biking accident in 2016 is complete however, running is no longer possible.  The Syttende Mai 17 mile walk may be a future event.

Eric: Racing is no longer part of my life, but cycling is a large part of my fitness program and my goal of living a healthy life.  PBC really helps me toward that goal.

What is something interesting about yourself that people might not know?
Lori: I have “hardware” in three different parts of my body.
