Below is a sample of our 2017-2018 season.

With more and more cyclists using technique, efficiency, power and other data methods as a means to train and improve their cycling abilities, the need has clearly developed for performance-based training programs to create structure through the cold winter months.

To help meet this this demand SBR will be offering its 12th indoor season of performance based cycling (PBC) this winter. This unique class will run upon fundamental principles of exercise physiology and biomechanics. 

Our classes are different from the norm. We never bike with you. We are walking around instructing, coaching, teaching, correcting and educating the entire time. We offer individual attention throughout each class. You will be able to focus on you and increase your cycling abilities in a wonderfully friendly, coached setting. Our main goal is quality versus quantity. We keep our class sizes low so our coach to athlete ratio is in good balance to spend as much time with each rider as needed, in each class. 

Things we will work on in each class?  You will begin training by learning how to pedal efficiently and work to the best of your abilities. You will also be training with concepts such as lactate threshold (LT), Functional Threshold Power and RPE (ratings of perceived exertions). The first weeks will include a lot of low intensity cycling, stroke analysis and pedaling efficiency to build a strong base for the months ahead as you move into more strength, speed and power training. Lots of physiology! Lots of learning! This class is for the athlete that is prepared to take the next step with their training, and spend quality time learning about his/her body through the physiological and biomechanical parameters above. Our SBR Coaches will not be working out while you are, they will be focusing on coaching you during your workout for you to get the most. It’s all about you!

The course will meet two session per week on the dates below. You will have an AM, mid-morning or PM option. The classes will require you to use your own road or time trial/triathlete bike. You will be utilizing the CompuTrainer system and PerfPro Training Studio for all training in the course. Our computer based training software is a fully equipped system with over 300 course with full data displays such as power, heart rate and speed.

Course time and dates:

Classes start the week of November 6, 2017 and end the week of April 9, 2018.
There will be a limited class schedule during the holidays in December/January.
This is a 24-week course.
Each class will be 1-hour in duration.

Session 3 - Tuesday/Thursday 9am - 10am

Session 4 - Tuesday/Thursday 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Session 5 - Wednesday/Friday 6am - 7am (Closed)

COST STRUCTURE:
$699 pay in full, or 2 installments of $385 (2nd due January 1, 2018)

Bike storage for the 2017/2018 season is full.

Weekday and weekend Performance Based Cycling Class packages are available.
$890 for 3 days per week pay in full or $495 two installments.
